□■30 Days-gay & straight■□
We watched 30 days about two of men which are gay and straight this time in Scott's class. This series of movies are always about some problems such as health problem or minimum wage as we've watched before. To be honest, homosexuality and lesbians are not familiar problem for us Japanese so I was not sure I can enjoy this movie. However, there are a lot of explanation about homosexuality and lesbians and I could get more information than before. After he went back home, I was happy that he realized he was streotyoed. I want him to change his parent's mind also and to destroy the wall of prejudice of people around him.
When I was in Australia, one of my host family's friend was lesbian(or actually bisexual I guess). At that time it was the first time in my life that I saw such people and when she came out that she is a lesbian, I was just so surprised and I repeated saying, "Really??? Are you really lesbian!?" many times. She looked confused and answered to me, "Yeah, why??" I counldn't answer why I behaved like that and I realized I was a bit rude to her. After that, I saw some people wha are gay as well but I decided not to react like that again. I don't despise them and I don't criticize them. She was a normal person as everyone and we bacame friends. So I don't want people to blame or bully them. I think it is important to know them more. Like Ryan changed his mind, people who has prejudice toward homosexuality might change their mind.
Oh, by the way, the grade of this movie is B. I enjoyed it but it was not that I expected:(
