◆◇Intelligence Inventory◇◆

Q3. Do you think intelligence is fixed at birth, or is it constantly changing?
I think intelligence can be related to parents' genes but I believe it constantly changes by the person's environment. It is true that children inherit their parents' ability or sense, but they can't inherit their knowledge or techniques from just genes. It always depends on the environment and situation. Nothing can exceed efforts so if you worked or studied really hard, no matter how intelligence you are, you would succeed.

Q2. Why is society interested in your intelligence and schooling?
As everyone said, it is because it can measure the standard of our intelligence level in our country. I think the Ministry of Education compare our intelligence with other countries based on the result of IQ test or intelligence tests and decide the study in the future. For example, the primary purpose of Japan's education after WWⅡis just to overtake other country's economy. However, after the Ministry of Education judged Japanese economy overtook other countries, they stopped too hard education system and decided to have leisure time more. Therefore it is very important to know people's intelligence level for the society and the country
.

Q9. What is emotional intelligence?
I agree with Yuri and I think emotional intelligence is not only to understand people's feeling but also to control his/her emotion in proper situations. However expressing emotions are one of humanities and it would be really difficult to be emotional intelligent. For example, if there were a wedding of my boss after the funeral of your mother, what would you do? Do you think you would celebrate them gladly and smile at the time? It would be contrary to your real emotion.. Is it kind of emotional intelligence??? I'm getting confused...

To maintain emotional intelligence is very tough job like your examples. I'm curious about if a true emotional intelligent person face such a tough situation, how would he act...

Itsumi, you may be getting confused, but I understand you and think your example is great. For me, emotional intelligence is all about empathy... it other words, the ability to understand how others feel and act accordingly. If you go to the wedding after the funeral, and you are emotionally intelligent, you can find a way to balance your emotions and participate in both activities.
