◎◎Japanese Gestures◎◎
There are many gestures in the world, but what the interesting thing is is that they are different by each countries. I'm introducing one of the easiest gestures in Japan.
As you know, when you want to make a gesture of drinking, you just make a "C" in your hand which shows a glass, and move it to your month. It is also same in Japan and it often used to invite going drinking.
However, we Japanese drink green tea. We don't drink green tea in glass but in a cup with saucer. So, when you want to express drinking green tea, or just green tea, you make "C" in your right hand first and next, you put the left hand under the "C". Finally, you just move it to the mouth. The "C" in your right hand shows a cup and the palm of your left hand shows the saucer.
Actually, it is common but young people don't use it so much. These days young people don't drink hot green tea so much, but I want people to use this Japanese expressions more because it is one of the great Japanese expressions.
